I am looking at the Prius manual and I keep on seeing the abbreviation "IG-ON"

I know I must have over looked what this means, so I would appreciate it if someone can explain this to me.

    Thank you.

Just like any other car you've driven really. There's ACC (accessory) mode with gives electrical power to only a limited number of things...radio, windows, etc...but no fans, etc.

IG-ON gives you electrical power to almost everything but doesn't actually power up into READY mode.

In is engaged by pressing the power button without touching the brake pedal.

Stands for IGnition-ON. It is equivalent to what you would have in a conventional car if you put it to ON, but not start it.
