i'm just waiting....

waiting to get my prius tomorrow afternoon. its about 2:30 in the morning, i have class at 10:00 until 3:45, a meeting at 4, and then rushing to the dealership to pick up my new baby.

i think i got pretty lucky with the prius i'm getting. most of the dealers i went to either had one or none in stock, and even when they did have it, it was usually sold by the time i got home from the dealership. I made my firm decision to get the prius just 3 weeks ago, and tomorrow is only 2 days since i signed my soul away to toyota.

sitting in class isnt going to be easy. senioritis, finals week, and a new car waiting for me.

i had kinda wanted the touring but i settled for the first car they got me, just the regular package 5 in white. i dont even know what color the interior is-they didnt call me back when i finally remembered to ask.

and trust me, there will be pics beyond anything you've ever seen before. i'm a commercial and fashion photographer when i'm not pretending to go to school.

 

i test drove a blue one, but silver was the top of my list, white a close second.

finally got it yesterday. i had too much fun playing with it to come right back and make a post.

so far i love it, it drives great, im getting awesome mileage, and it looks great. a little dirty already, but great.

it took me a while to work out a few kinks, like the reverse beep (now disabled), how to turn the nav system to nighttime colors and simultaneously fix the green glare. im not thrilled with the rear visibility but i'll get used to it. plenty of cargo space, but im not kidding myself, its not as big as my old car.

im going to have custom leather put in next week, and then i'll also start looking into a system for my ipod. anyone have a suggestion? all i want to do is be able to control it from the touch screen/ steering wheel.

i promised pictures, but my studio lights are at school. i'll do them monday after class and post them here too.

im glad to be part of what seem to be a very dedicated community, looks like this is gonna be an awesome car to own.
