I'm just finishing my second tank. So far, I'm averaging 4.6 l/100km or 51.1 mpg US. I've been working at it a bit, but I'm cruising within about +/-5% of the speed limit. My commute involves 77 km each way, about a 600' elevation differential, 55 km of six lane highway and about 10 km of stop-and-go traffic. I'm running on Nokian WRs and have a block heater with the grill (mostly) blocked. OAT has been running 0 to 12C up here since I got the car.

I'm pretty happy, given that things should improve as the engine and tires break in.

Congrats on the new Prius! I have to keep about 10/15% below our max highway speed (70 mph) to get top efficiency (I have a 2004 Prius) but it's great when I'm able to go for long periods where I'm getting 50+ mpg. (Although right now I'm not getting such great gas mileage because of some new tires getting put on.)

Good job. I'm glad so many people are able to get 50mpg pretty regularly. It seemed like many people, including myself could not achieve those numbers without a lot of effort. :)

niiice. I'm at 4.8L/100km right now.. not as cold as you but with the rain we're famous for, it seems to do as much damage to the mileage.
