In market for a new Prius

    I'm considering getting a Prius to replace my 10yrs old A6. My primary concern with the Prius is handling in snow and icy conditions. The A6 with AWD and snow tires drives like dream on a foot of snow; I have no illusions that a Prius will come even close. Any opinions on whether the 16" vs 15" really make much of a difference? (I'm going to get snow tires for the Prius.) I asked around about a Touring model with package 3, and nobody has them. One dealer told me that they only import Touring with #2.

    Also, is the anti-theft system a worthwhile addition? My only reason to get it is to reduce the insurance rates.

    Check with your insurer to see whether it would give any reduction. The anti-theft features that come standard already make a Prius almost impossible to steal except by dragging it onto a flatbed truck.
