In praise of the mighty Prius

Excellent idea, overblown prose.
Two more thoughts

1) it works, imagine if the Prius had been produced by Yugo. We could never get to electric cars because the first one did not work, as a car. Look how much resistance the Leaf is getting just because 'this year's Aztek' is not a good thing. It better work, as a car.

2) It was a change, but required no previous change. Roads did not need modification, no Prius stations had to be built, you did not need to own flying monkeys. Now we can step into electric charging stations.
