    i don't think it would be needed on a modern car. carbureted high compression engines may ping while lugging in hot weather. water injection helps to stop pinging. modern cars have knock sensors and can either adjust timing or richen the mixture if pinging is detected. i wouldn't do it.

    There are other factors and benefits than JUST Pinging and knock control.......
