When a worker gets smashed by a car part on Tesla’s factory floor, medical staff are forbidden from calling 911 without permission.

    The whole story here.

Normally I'm not what you would call a Tesla fanboy, but I'm gonna give 'em a pass on this one.

I don't know how reliable the source of the story is, if there are more in the future it will be interesting.
I worked in heavy industry for 40 years and a clean accident record is important to large companies.
Companies don't want to loose their ISO certifications and safety is a part of the standard.

employee complaints are common in all companies. some are valid, some are not. it gets magnified with tesla because of big oil and stock shorters.

while there are medical issues at every auto manufacturer, no one on wall street cares.

Ha, there’s so much tesla love at this forum I applaud your gumption.
Nothing is know about tesla because "it doesn’t" release any news, but now that Musk is getting pushed into the background, fact’s will emerge (hopefully).
The hate on this forum against people that put their money against a company who's stock price is way overvalued is silly, people that short keep people that would otherwise lose their money....from losing all their money, if tesla were allowed to go to 3000$ a share then crashed, well, that would ruin to many people, live and learn.

When the p/e ratio becomes something sane, great.

Not a fanboy or a hater.
There is a simply a MUCH greater chance that Tesla will be able to grease enough palms to get by with workplace injury obfuscation in the other PRC than there is out on the left coast.

This probably has more to do with the UAW than it does with shorters.
This kinda smells like some of the cheesy 1970's junk that they come up with and they've been salivating over the prospect of adding thousands of new.....ah......'members' to their rolls.

    Musk?
    UAW?

    meh.
    I'll root for both sides......

I acknowledge shorters have their place, but can they get into legal trouble for attempting to manipulate stock prices through public announcements like owners can?

I did not post this because I hate Tesla or Elon Musk. At one time I wanted a Tesla but that desire has subsided, I will wait for a more mainstream car to be built by one of the large auto manufacturers and if that never happens life goes on.

we weren't assuming you did. perhaps you haven't been following the threads with all the negative articles linked, as if they were somehow true. it just gets tiresome, when people write these articles without any facts.
or mix in enough truth to get others to believe the lies.

i just want the facts. if tesla or musk do something wrong, the government or customers will work to make it right.
it is obvious that there is a smear campaign going on to anyone paying attention.

if osha and other agencies find no wrong doing, what are the authors trying to accomplish?

Sometimes pressure from outside sources are needed.

That said, I doubt this behavior is limited to just Tesla.

Frankly I doubt the veracity of the story teller.

Tesla seems to have employee health at a high priority level.
One Year In: Tesla Safety Update | Tesla

After a four month audit by OSHA, with only rather minor issues found, they seem to be on pretty solid footing.
Improvements have been, and continue to be made.

The article mentioned that the statue of limitations was short(4 months?), and had run out on some complaints before Cal/OSHA investigated. New laws recently signed have extended them, so Tesla may not have fared as well if the investigation was today.

I have my doubts about the stories sources. On the other hand, companies do try to reduce reported injuries. On the gripping hand, human memory isn't perfect with stress and pain playing a part in how events are remembered. Nearly two years ago, a gallon of near boiling water dumped onto my feet. 911 wasn't called until I requested it, but people kept asking if wanted them to before. That could be easily be written into the brain as the employer didn't want to call 911.

Which is talking about the OSHA investigation that has been completed, with good results.
As already mentioned in the Tesla link above, their injury rate has improved, and not because of any underreported instances per the four month investigation.
