NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - A new study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety indicates that crash deaths on American roads could be reduced by one third if all vehicles were equipped with the Electronic Stability Control.

I had read, also in a CNN Money report, that Electrononic Stability Control (VSC on a Toyota) was the best new safety feature in decades, and it is the reason we went with the package 4 (apparantly used to be 5 or above). It would be nice if the insurance industry would start giving credits for policy holders whose vehicles are so equipped.
