My 2005 is just at 90,000 and I am taking it in for the recall work on the inverter pump. I asked how much it would be to change the coolant for the engine. loop also. The dealer said that both the pump and the inverter fluid loop is included with the inverter pump recall. The engine coolant to be changed at the same time is 149.00$ additional. Doesn't that seem kind of high for a drain and refill of engine coolant? Are any special tools required to do the engine loop drain and refill?.

They do need special tools for a complete engine coolant change, I suspect, since they have to run the recovery tank pump and the heater core pump and bleeding the system can't be too simple. I don't know if they do all of the system or just most of the system or what a good price would be.
