Took FOREVER to get iOS5 yesterday, but I love the update and it's nice to see what's playing through Blutooth. Wish there was the access to playlists and folders like there is when connected through USB, but this is nice.

One of my favorite things about the Prius is being able to push the start button and having my music stream from my phone where it left off.

now I want to know where the little microphone button is on the keyboard. There was speculation that we'd get speech to text in iOS5. :(

It's not speculation. It might be iPhone 4S only. :(

The jailbreak will be out soon. No need to worry.

tethered if i recall correctly. i don't want to have to use my computer to reboot my phone. it shouldn't be too long (few months) before they release an untethered version. (as Sofakingcopter said)

as for voice to text... that's siri and currently only available on the 4S. there is rumor they will also let the 4 have it in the future. (apple usually appeals to the majority if they cry foul play)

How would it help the Gen 2 (specifically the 2004 model)? The 2004 model Nav doesn't support the A2DP Bluetooth profile nor the Bluetooth profile that transfers song information. The Nav head unit was upgraded sometime along Gen II, so perhaps newer Gen 2 model years.

Yes I know! I love that feature too!

You can always use Voice Control on your iPhone 3GS or 4 to change playlists. Since your phone is most likely connected through Bluetooth Handsfree as well as Bluetooth Audio, you can use Voice Control and talk through the car's mic (the Prius will treat it as a phone call).

What took you so long, Apple?!?! This was one feature I was looking forward to after another member posted a screenshot of it while playing with the beta version.

First came the ability to change track (sometime back in Nov) and now full A2DP. Jeez.

I have the JBL "premium" stereo in my 06 and the high res LCD along w/no tape deck (ditched w/06?). I'm pretty sure that A2DP streaming wasn't available until Gen 3 (2010+). It was a featured touted on the 2010.
