is it normal for traction break to be more grabby if damp?

I was just wondering. it has been really humid and rainy lately and it seem like the traction break seems to be a lot more grabby. I was coming up to stop sign, applied breaks, nice smooth stop until I was under 5 mph then they grabbed fairly roughly, it was a sudden jolt.

absolutely. the rotors get a light coating of rust as well, which doesn't help.

After a damp spell, yes. You might have noticed an ugly rubbing sound too.

You can fix it all by making about two normal stops with the car shifted into neutral first—takes regen out of the picture so the brakes make the entire stop; that's enough to rub the flash rust off. Otherwise, the brakes get so little use that they could stay ugly sounding and grabby for most of your commute.
