Does anyone know of anywhere I could rent a 2010 Prius in Southern California for a day or two?

    Thanks. :)

A lot of the dealers have them available to rent, either as a trial for a hopeful purchase, or if your car was in for repairs.
    Mossey in Pacific Beach did.

I was at a conference in Irvine last fall and the car Hertz gave me at the airport was a new Prius.

Naturally I took it over the hill from Capistrano To Elsinore (50 miles of two-lane blacktop twisties) and back on 91 (Freeway). That sold me on handling and mileage, so when I dinged up my 1995 Odyssey last month, I rushed over to the nearest Toyota dealer and traded it in.

Yes. I haven't rented one, but a friend of mine rented one in San Diego at the airport. I think he didn't intentionally ask for one/reserve one but he lucked out, IIRC.

I can check w/him on the agency, if need be.

Best place to rent a 2010 Prius is through a local Toyota dealer. Call around. Some dealers rent, some don't. Some only rent Camrys 'n Corollas.

I called Friday morning two weeks ago. An hour later they had a brand new Prius III ready for rent at Fremont Toyota - 5 miles on the car. $40 / day - 200 mile limit / day.

    Sunnyvale Toyota rents Prius V's.
