I’m coming from a failing 2006 Prius and I am possibly looking at a 2010 package IV with solar roof roof package. It has 149,000 Km and is 12,000 cdn. How would you say is the reliability of the 2010 Prius (for example the ABS problems plus the Oil burning problems)? Is that a fair price for the package and the Km’s?

it's only worth it if you can't find something newer with lower miles for the same money.
otoh, you might be better off with a gasser.

one major problem with some 2010/11's is oil burning around 100k. hard to diagnose before taking ownership.

Or for us in the US, about 92,600 miles for $9,600.

Is it this one in Auto Trader:

It looks ok, looks to have the block heater fwiw. I'm not sure how you can tell oil consumption, is there any way, short of living with it for a while?? Regarding the brake issue, there was a recall on that, you check if that's been done. Probably was, and if not, I think you would still be eligible.

If it's Canadian car it would not be level IV, I would guess it would be "Technology Package". But I'm a bit confused, IF it's the one in the above ad: the rear pic with hatch open doesn't show bumper protector, which is part of tech package. It does have leather interior though.

    We're "Touring Package", btw. :)

It is confusing which package it is because both of them that it might be (U.S. or Canadian) must have the Navigation package. On the U.S. one it has to be IV because of the leather seats, and on the Canadian package only the Tech has leather seats.
