Is the Gen III nav rev 5 or rev 6?

    I'm getting conflicting information when I search on this...is the 2010 nav system gen 5 or gen 6?

    if you are talking about the DVD disc itself, Rev 8.... but cars made after Sept are supposed to be rev9....

    No, I'm talking about what generation the system itself is...it's either 5 or 6.

    It's 6. Gen 5 was from 2006 to 2009 on Toyota vehicles.

    06-09 = Gen5 Aka (Gen II)
    ??-06 = Gen4 Aka (Gen II)
    ??? = Gen3
    ??? = Gen2
    ??? = Gen1

    Anyone fill in the blanks?

    I'm pretty sure 04-05 is Gen 4 and 01-03 is Gen 2/3.

    Gen 1 dates back to the late 90s. My guess is mid to late 90s with the Gen 2 covering 99-01. You can't imagine how those looked like (both physically and the on-screen resolution)
