Is there a setting for the cabin controls that keeps air blowing on me all the time?

I like air blowing on me all the time and it is annoying when the car decides it needs defrost and switches on its own. This happens in auto and regular mode. How do I set it and let the air stay on me constantly? It could be vent or AC but I want moving air all the time.

Another issue is when it is colder outside I have it set to 65 to blow cool air on me but it blows warmer air, like I want heat on me. I got around this in my last car by leaving the AC in the Max setting and adjusting the temp as required.

Leave the settings in "manual" (they don't actually stay there with this but it still works), set the temp as you like, and turn on the fan to whatever setting you want. The car will heat or cool the air per the temp setting, but the fan will always run in the setting you make. Even after turning the car off and turning it on again. You may have to set the air vents to use (the button that selects which arrows show).

Go past 65 to LO to keep the temp cool.

I'm a control freak and hate recirc, thus only manual for me.

But even on manual it switches to defrost. Why is that?

Does "defrost" means air directed onto the front windshield, the blower no longer coming through the center of the dashboard?

There's no way for that to change on it's own when in manual (the AUTO switch off).

In manual or off, I've seen the modes switch from upper vents to the floor vents and the intermediate mode, but never to the windshield.

In manual it stays right where you put it. Has on mine for 60,000 miles.

Thinking about it, I rarely have it in manual, but off, it does change on its own.

It def switches to blow air on the windshield. Then when I hit the button to blow back on me it bumps it up three or four levels so air is coming out harder than I want it to blow on me. I almost always keep it in manual and have tried outside air, recirculate, AC everything but it switches on its own.

Not my experience, in manual, it stays where I put it. Is yours defective?

It doesn't sound like the 4-mode button is what's being pressed.
