Is there a tutorial on painting the wheels? I have a white prius so black wheels would be nice.

I did some searching and see lots of posts about plasti dip. The newer stock wheels are semi gloss or gloss black right? So is there a plasti dip in semi gloss? Maybe something more permanent is better. I had an IS250 and it always irritated me that the plasti dip was so easy to mess up if you got a scratch the material can pull away. Maybe just degrease, prime, and paint? Maybe needs some light sanding to rough the surface up for better adhesion?

Maybe hit up @andino since he just painted his wheels orange recently, or get them powdercoated at a shop.

If you want to plastidip, they also have a spray that makes it glossy. Otherwise, I recommend using wheel coating if you like the colors that are offered by that product line.

    Painting...Op is right.
Degrease, sand surface, heat the wheels to 70 degrees, paint, clear coat and polish.

Plastic Dip, Hydro Film coating are options yet I have never done this.

Still any option may scratch when replacing tires.

Good luck...are neon and pastel colors back in style haha.

I think I'll go your first option. I wonder if there is a decent set of stock black ones with bald tires for cheap as another option.
