I thought I bought a 2010 Prius I last week. But with some of the features I see on it, I'm wondering if it might be a II. Does anyone know how I can find out what I have here? Can I run the VIN through a database or something?

Here is a list of some of the features that it has:

    • Cruise control
    • Touch Tracer Display
    • Smart Key
    • EV mode
    • Rear wiper
    • Tonneau cover
    • Satellite radio antenna and satellite capable radio
    • Rear armrest with 2 cupholders
    • 6 speakers

I can check on specific features if that will help identify this car.

Is this a II, or is it a I with an upgrade package?

    Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a II to me. Not aware of a way to find out but maybe if you ask nicely and contact the Prius Team (user on here) giving the Vin and your question they can check in their own system as to which model it is.

The dealer had it marked as a I, and I was surprised that it had Cruise Control when I test drove it. I figured it was just a single upgrade. I hope you are right about it being a II - I may have gotten a better deal!

I may contact the Prius Team to see if they can provide clarification. Thanks.

Sounds like a II. A I would be missing those features as it's meant for fleet use.

From when I spoke to my dealer, they made it sound like upgrade options were not an option on model I's.
There is a reason they get them cheaper because they are easier to manufacture hence the no upgrade options.
