It pains me to say that today I could buy my Prius Four for far less than I paid in June 2013.

Back then I paid just over $26k not including taxes and registration. I ran the 2015 model on TrueCar today and it's showing just over $25k, and that doesn't seem to factor in the $1500 rebate Toyota is offering with 0% financing.

What made me look? Morbid curiosity. Amazing how much of a difference the drop in gas prices makes. People think so short term. Ah well. I've certainly enjoyed the car over the last two years, so there's that.

But how much money did you save in gas compared to your old car over that 2 year period?

    Yep, its crazy !
A lot of people have no forward thinking, and just live in the now.

I just picked up my slightly used Prius less than 2 months ago . When gas prices were low, and hybrids were not selling. Dealers were doing anything to move hybrids ! Anyone with any smarts had to know gas prices were coming back up soon . SUV's were selling again, and hybrids were not "in" . Already, its starting to turn back again ! Gas prices are on the rise again, and hybrids are starting to sell again .

I was able to score a Silver 2011 Prius 2 , with only 30,000 miles in perfect condition with great service records (every 5k like clockwork at Toyota) for $12,900 .

We assume gas will go up, and it will eventually. But in the next few years, and that is what most people look at, there projects to be a glut. People mentally compare to over $4 gas and conclude they can have instant gratification.

Considering it replaced an older Prius, not very much. :)

I just cruised thru my dealers new car lot. If Toyota entered the new Camrys and Prius in the ugliest front end contest THEY WILL WIN!!! I hope my present toys will last along time because I will change brands before I buy the new LOOK!
