Had a light go out, so i figured i might as well replace a bunch with LED bulbs. I figured I would share the difference in case anyone was considering it.

I did the same thing about 6 months ago (see threads passim) packs of 15 wedgie & festoon replacements for about $6/pack (inc shipping) on eBay! I bought a couple of spare packs just in case! ;)

I can say there's a huge difference. I'm looking to change mine.

I think I put a link to the eBay vendor in a previous post. The LED lamps came from China so the delivery time was a couple of weeks, and another advantage not mentioned in my previous post, is that the LEDs use very little current, so less chance of running down the AuxBattery. Good luck!

I did a full LED conversion in my wife's Outback with similar results. Need to do this to both the prius and energi.

Yup! Our licence plate and taillights were LEDs on the Gen 2.

On the Gen 3, it's front-facing parking lights, door courtesy (changed to red to contrast the blue illuminated door sills!), map lights, dome, licence plate lights and cargo light (this one is a natural white LED so it looks like incandescent but brighter)
