The Toyota Prius hybrid has topped the best selling car list in Japan for the 15th month in a row, new figures have shown.

According to the Associated Press, Toyota - the world's biggest car maker - has now shifted more than 2.68 million hybrids around the world, a million of which have been sold in Japan.

Japanese drivers are currently able to benefit from tax breaks and other financial incentives if they buy a green car, which could be helping to further boost the Prius' popularity in the country.
