I just heard on Fox News that in Japan they are going to recall the
2010 Prius for the brake problem.

There was no mentioning of recalling the thousands and thousands of the 2010 Prius vehicles here in the U.S.

How can Toyota recall the same car in Japan and admit there is a brake problem, and not recall the same car here in the U.S. that was made in Japan. Also, by Toyota's own admission, all the Prius made after Jan 01,2010 have had the brake issue corrected.

That is a receipe for a law suit if I ever seen one.

We have nearly 20,000 miles on our Prius and the only brake problems that I have expierenced is a very few times when I backed up the brakes were jerky and sensitive.

But, I sure don't want the brakes to fail, even one second at highway / freeway speeds, is too long.

My wife, who drives the car 90% of the time is not overly concerned as she really loves our Prius. But the brakes only have to fail once, and game over.
