JD Power: High fuel prices having little effect on vehicle sales

    What I think will be interesting is not the current sale figures, but what happens to those vehicles after 6 months of filling up at $50 or $60 a pop and pretty frequently. I already know of two couples who are looking to downsize their cars because of the recent increase in fill-up prices.

    Yes, exactly. That's why I don't generally pay much attention to what JD Powers says about anything. Too unscientific and there's a definite delay between current attitudes and the ones that JD reports.
