Jessica Alba plugs hybrids, biodiesel

    So I'm browsing the threads on PriusChat this evening with the Tonight Show on the TV in the background, when suddenly I hear Jessica Alba making a point to say she drives a Lexus hybrid and her parents drive a Prius. She said she's a "believer" in hybrid technology, and also supports biodiesel.

    No real point to the thread - just convenient timing so I thought I'd document the moment in television. It almost seemed she was on a mission to make sure the topic came up.

    I wasn't paying much attention to the TV until the phrase, "I drive a hybrid" was mentioned. Do you know how the subject came up, by chance? Just curious.

    Jay asked her about her new car, and when she said it was a hybrid Jay started to make a face, and she told him to be quiet ... she "believes in hybrids".     She told Jay he could use biodiesel and have just as much performance as with his regular diesel fuel. Jay said something like biodiesel is great on fries. Prior to that he said he has a hybrid Corvette; it uses gas on the road and then on the freeway it uses "more gas".

    So the context was really just friendly banter between a pretty starlet and the talk show host. Not much depth there at all, but she is pretty. I watched the entire segment.
