List the things common to fail / getting scarce / in demand here for reference, so people who go to U-Pull-It yards can make sure that no scarce resource is lost to the crusher

I can't think of a single V model that I've seen in a yard, but for Gen 2s...If you're thinking of 'new' cost vs salvage yard cost vs failure rate vs demand, off the top of my head:
    1. One of the most common is the MFD
    2. dash vents (but these are available new at reasonable prices on the web)
    3. steering wheel if in excellent condition
    4. I've had 2 spare inverters on the shelf for 5 years, about a dozen Gen 2s over the last several years, and have never needed one...
Dang, these cars have been so reliable, lol. The last repair I did was over a month ago, to my 350k mile 2006, replacing the mirror control switch because the 'up' stopped working. But, the MFD is getting the 'burn oval' in the center, so that's falls dead square on item #1 above, which will probably lead to item #2.

The J Yard I use, Harry's-U-Pull-It in Hazleton, PA, said to be the world's largest U-Pull-It, does not sell the cats.

I will post location if I see an engine or display
I will snag any EGR hardware if I see any

This yard has two Prius C listed in inventory ATM. No V
This OP was posted under C but is showing under more than that. I guess I don't understand this site. Sorry for the confusion
Any requests tailored to the C post AYEC kuz I'm headed to the yard
The rest of this thread can be for reference.
