:D I just got my new 2006 Prius last week in Seaside Pearl. I can be very picky about things like this because I don't think I've ever had a car that I was truly, truly happy with - until now. This car is so comfortable and smooth, it amazes just about anyone who sits in it. I am averaging about 43-45 mpg so far. I was driving a 2003 Saturn Vue before this, and that got about 25mpg which isn't bad for an SUV. (It was also a standard transmission). However, what a world of difference this car is....I can't say enough good things about it. The people at Toyota were really great too.

Did anyone else have a difficult time choosing what color/ package? Any opinions on the seaside pearl?

With seaside pearl, yiu should have little trouble finding your car in a crowded parking lot. I have ordered one in this color primarily for this reason.

    Congratulations!!

My only tough Prius-related decision was between package #7 and 8. Did I want cloth or leather? Leather won out. Seaside Pearl was my 2nd color choice should black have been too difficult to come by. I still think it's a bright, fun, happy color. :)

I thought that I had wanted to hold out for the Magnetic Gray, but I couldn't be happier with the Seaside Pearl

Congratulations! I just got my 2006 Super White two weeks ago. Can't recall ever being this happy with a new car. Especially after hearing on the news this morning that gas will be going up to about $3.25 per gallon this summer. My gas savings from my Mazda Tribute almost pays for my note.

    Have fun with your P-baby!

I just bought mine yesterday. I had a 2005 Solara SLE loaded, great car but the gas prices are killing me. I comute 112miles a day. So far I am amazed and very pleased. Oh, I got the 2006 package 6, Barcelona red.
Just an awesome car and still learning. :D

You will only have one problem now. If your married, you will never want to drive the wife's vehicle again! We drove our SUV three times since we got the Prius. It's amazing the mileage we are getting on the Yukon as long as it is sitting still with the engine off.

Enjoy the Prius, it's the first car I truely enjoyed since my Fiero, but it is far better.

I have had my Seaside Pearl now for just over a month. Previous car was a metallic tan Honda Accord, and so was the one before that....etc. I was sick of that color! Seaside Pearl was just great...wife likes it, too.
Package #3. We didn't need nav or bluetooth, or leather for that matter. Love that mileage! :)

:D I was interested in the white too, but since I had a white car once and blue is my favorite color... I decided to stick with my first choice in the Seaside Pearl. The first time I noticed this car was on the last episode of a HBO show called "Six Feet Under". A blue prius is driven by one of the main characters I thought, "wow, that looks like an interesting car" which lead me to research the car itself. And so, a year later, I own one. I was looking at Honda Accords, but I don't like how common they are. Im kinda bored with them, although theya are a really great car too.

So - anyone else parking far, far away from other cars in mall or super market parking lots too??? :D I was thinking about getting ding guards or something, but not sure how that would look. At least Im getting alot of exercise :)

My cars have been either gray, silver or blue. Blue is my favorite color. I had narrowed the choice to either Seaside, Driftwood or Tideland Pearl. Seaside won out. :)

I'm so jealous. I wanted Seaside Pearl with Gray int, and settled for White with Beige interior. I'm OK with the white, but the beige is getting dirty after only a couple of months. I love the car, and Option 6 was right for me. Enjoy all your Seaside Pearls.

Congrats Kim! There's a seaside blue around the corner from me...very pretty. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's gone spazz over this car. I'm paranoid about parking it, getting dirty, etc. I'm so excited about it I just like to stare at it. Welcome to Prius-Love! Love Six Feet Under...Love my car!

    Congratulations!

I did have a difficult time in choosing the package. I was contemplating either the Package 4 or 6. Package 6 would have been a special order or I would have had to go out of state to buy because it isn't offered in Washington. I ended up with #4.

The color wasn't so bad, my choices were Seaside, Magnetic and Silver. I ended up with Silver and I am really happy.

    I LOVE MY CAR!

I just got my 2006 Silver Pine Mica (green) Prius last weekend. Since the Prius is so popular, the dealer did not have any Prius' on the lot for me to look at---so I bought the car "blind."

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it. What an awesome vehicle!

I'm looking forward to learning more about it. It's like nothing I have ever driven before.

It's funny you ask about parking in mall lots. I'm definitely doing that now. My Prius is the first car I've ever done that for. Definitely babying this one more than any other vehicle I've owned.

Congratulations! I know how you feel I just picked up my new Prius a few hours ago :) I wanted either silver or seaside (although silver was my first choice) and I got silver, I new from the very start that I wanted package 7 , I like nav and dont like leather so the decision was easy for me... it was waiting that was not so easy.
