Kenwood DNX9990HD plug-n-play???

    Is the Kenwood plug-n-play steering controls or do you have to use the PAC adapter? I had a high end Eclipse AVN 726E in my last car and had to sacrifice the "mute" function on the steering wheel. The adapter converted only 4 functions so the "mute" button on the radio had to be used. Anyone know?

    Don't know the answer to your question but you have a mute button for your Prius? What am I missing?

    Yes, I do have a mute button that mutes the factory radio but an after-market radio is a different story...unless it can emulate the factory system. That's why I asked if it was a plug-n-play system.
