Key fob and alarm

    Hello,I have problem about smart key.I am using 2006 toyota prius ..When I put the battery(c2032) in smart key I locked the door after alarm is active.when I got out the battery from smart key no alarm.What is the problem?

    When I put battery to smart key, the alarm starts to sound

    I am ready, but not understanding the question. But probabilistically, either the new battery is also weak or installed backwards, or one of the buttons on the fob is stuck.

    Edit: Strange, the last post didn't show before. Yes, the red panic button is probably stuck in the pushed in position.
