Keyless entry stopped working on driver's door, but still works on passenger door and hatch. Pushing the buttons still works. I already changed the battery in the fob, so it's obviously a problem with the sensor in the door handle. Any ideas what could be wrong? Can I fix it or do I need to take it to the dealer?

How many miles on your car? If under 36K, it should be repaired under warranty.

It sounds like you have correctly diagnosed the problem. You can replace the sensor yourself if you don't mind disassembling the door.

It does sound like the driver's door handle sensor since the other doors work. It could be as simple as a loose connector at the door handle, or the sensor may need to be replaced. I would think that you should be able to do it if you were to check connections, etc. and not find a problem and then know you will need to replace the door handle with the sensors.

I know I had a similar problem with a door lock on my wife's 2007 Honda Accord with 38,000 miles and Honda fixed it under warranty even though it was beyond the 36k miles. It may not hurt to call and ask, you may get lucky like I did.

Let us know what you do to fix it.

There is info/photos on disassembling the door panel, though not the
    door handle itself, here.
