It was 72F yesterday. They are predicting 65F tomorrow. This morning, it's 34F and raining.
Yesterday, I had 58.7 MPG on my MFD. After this morning's commute: 56.3. [IMG]

Granted, I'm only about 100 miles into my tank and have time to bring it back up, but this stinks and I am not looking forward to the trip home.

In Michigan, the last snowflake of the season thought, in April, is called wishful thinking :) Our weather is pretty close to yours and the car's display said this morning that it was 39 as I recall. I'm barely over 56 myself.

We're supposed to have temps in the 30s and low 40s the next couple of mornings...pulled the extension cord for the EBH out again this morning.

And my tank started off sucky after 4 <1/4 mile drives (don't ask--didn't have a choice). I've crept back up to almost 55 but am worried what the lower temps are going to do to me. And I had 65mpg (calculated, 60mpg on screen and I topped off!) last tank. Argh!

heh, well, in your case, you'd have to timestamp it so that you knew when the last snowflake of the winter fell and when the first snowflake of spring fell :p

I'm disappointed-I still have yet to see the snowflake. Yes I know living in temperate Southern California it's highly unlikely that I'll see the 'snowflake'. I was so excited on a recent trip to the mountains, driving around in 12-35 degree weather for a week, that I was finally going to see this snowflake. And yet, no snowflake. I would sit in the parking lot, searching the dash display for anything that mildly resembled a snowflake while outside, snow began piling up on my car. And still no snowflake. :(

We are also in that in between time, not summer, not spring, not winter, 34 this am 77 this pm. Do I zip up the radiator blocker or leave it unzipped? "Spring messes me up the most"

That is odd because when I went to Paso Robles it was 34 and the "snowflake" came to me...I was so excited and my friends that were with me thought I had lost my mind. Course, most days (actually all other days..) no snowflake. Having grown up in Vermont, no snow is fine with me!

Tony, I'm right there with you. 300 miles into a tank that was heading north of 60 MPG and now 35 degrees outside and MPG is heading south of 57 MPG. Maybe since Amy can't use her block heater I wonder if I could "borrow" it until she needs it again.

Rancid13 your 2006 does not have the "snowflake", but feel free to keep looking.

I feel for you Tony. I had the similar situation yesterday as a 20 degree temperature drop overnight killed my chance of getting another tank over 60 mpg. I didn't lose any mpg, but not gaining any with an addition 25 miles driven hurts. Raising the tank mpg with 480+ miles is so hard!

Looks like the cooldown is going to continue through the week as well!

Why would that be the case? My 2006 (pkg #1) shows a snowflake next to the outside temperature display whenever the temps drop below 37'F (I think it's 37, haven't seen it lately, it was already warming up to about 37 when I left this morning, after a low last night of about 30'). The snowflake goes away after awhile.

The '06 DOES briefly display the snow flake on the MFD when the temp is below 37degrees. On the '04/'05 it shows that, but it also has a small yellow snowflake on a road icon on the dash display (like where the cruise control, AC, etc icons are) that stays on continuously as long as the temp is below 37. For some people that little icon is like water torture to them. After much complaining on the various forums it seems that Toyota finally decided to eliminate it on the '06.

And replace it with MP3, iPod input, back-up camera, hi-res screen. . .

    Damn you all '06 owners!!!

we´ve had so much rain and bad weather in the new Seattle South formerly known as San Francisco that I flew deep into Mexico where the only snowflake ever recorded was when the Easter Bunny laid an egg

Rancid, hopefully your search for Snowflake has not left you wading in a pool with a large great white shark saying, "That's not Snowflake, that's not Snowflake." If your search hasn't resulted in this, then I pray it never does.

(All I have to say is ha to those that told me I could never use a reference from a certain movie on a message board.)

Haha, no worries. LOL...Here, Snowflake Snowflake Snowflake!

And I wasn't being facetious, Jack. :) I was honestly perplexed about why I spent a week driving in below freezing temps and never once did I see the snowflake that I've heard so much about. Perhaps I was paying too close of attention to the dash lights though. It only snowed 6.5 feet while we were up there too. So I saw plenty of actual snowflakes instead. :p
