There is nothing I can think off that is blqack, or even black!
First off all, nothing should be dripping, >>except maybe water from air conditioner condensation.

Even motor oil so new is probably amber in color, antifreeze is red.
Can you tell where, if it is in the vicinty of the engine?
Is your floor porous such that it darkens if something gets on there?
If not porous you might collect some and see if it is oil or water.
Check your oil level, may need to take it into dealer for check.

Is that dealer applied undercoating. You didn't fall for that did you?

If the drips evaporate and are gone the next day it's just water condensed by the air conditioner. If they don't evaporate, take it back to the dealer.

Maybe (black) brake dust suspended in water droplets? (That would be harmless.)

It could also be condensation from the exhaust. but that would mean with black exhaust the car could possibly be running rich. water does condensate inside the exhaust from the cool and warm air coming together. But you also said its on the side of the car?? Please clarify. Do you mean on the side like on the doors, or under the car but out towards the side?

How nice. The dealer messed up the car for you. If you didn't ask them to "rustproof" it you should demand a refund for it.

Do you think it could be that or is the dealer trying to get away from something they dont feel like messing with? I would be upset if my "rustproof" was falling off. the rustproof cant be too rustproof if its falling off lol. That would be like washing the car for the first time and having the paint start falling off lol. I know I would not be happy.

No its basicly spray tar. Some of it ends up dripping off. They make a mess out of the bottom of the car.
Really a spray can or 2 on the suspension every 6 months is alot more effective.

isnt that something, and the stuff the dealer puts on is probably 3 times as expensive. makes you wonder sometimes doesnt it? lol
