I have about 2200 miles on my car now, so I'm still learning. Here's something that's been around here in bits and pieces, but I'm not sure I've seen it all put into a single post.

I gassed up and decided to overfill the tank by about an extra 1.4 gallons almost to the cap. I'd not recommend this or do it much more myself.

I drove about 400 - 450 miles before I got to where I lost bar 4 and had 3 left.

I pushed reset on trip B and tracked it until I had 2 bars left. I got 50 miles on that bar.

The 2nd bar went away after 55 more miles. I reset trip B again.

26 miles later, the display beeped and said "Add Fuel".

4 miles later I filled up.

It clicked off at 9.8 gallons, but to make a good mpg reading, I filled it to the cap again.. probably the last time for that.

I ended up with 50.70 for the actual tank mileage. The MFD showed 51.7 for the 570 miles.

I think for the most part, I'll just fill up until it clicks off from now on.. and not wait until I'm into that last bar before doing it.
