I've seen a lot of people post their lifetime MPG on this site. Other than calculating it myself, is there another way to get it? Maybe from the Prius?

You have to calculate it yourself on the '04, '05, and probably the '06...

If you keep the ScanGage plugged in all the time and do not reset it, you could get that figure. You would need to buy it before you picked up the car. I have been using it to calculate average mpg since adding the block heater then I am going to reset it and look at how using a radiator cover changes the average over a few weeks. I will then look at averages from last winter and see how these mods effect the mpg. I do have a spreadsheet and PDA that I keep my actual lifetime figures.

Somehow, I presume that medicine is a bit more lucrative.

Maybe, Maybe not, things are getting ugly out here in obstetrics. The training for making a diagnosis is universal. I would bet that a really good smart auto tech with the proper education would do well in medicine. We spend the first two years in Medical school learning the vocabulary, after that they teach medicine, then we spend 3 to 7 years getting an edge put on us.

I get mine from my signature. Somehow, someone keeps updating it every time I get gas. I just click the link to see how I'm doing. Perhaps it's Priapus.

I divide the total miles since I got the car by the total amount of gas that I have purchased. I had the advantage of looking at this board and others before I got the car so I kept good records,
