    :)08 prius,2500 miles on it. went 300 miles,went with the 70 speed limit going, comeing b ack 75 and 80 a few times with a burst of 95 for a few seconds. I am an old hotrodder, but i like this car, it"s for my wife. I driv e an old pickup truck. I LIVE in LA, BELOW LAFAYETTE, on a 80 acre farm and love machinery, this thing it something. TBRADSIM OH BY THE WAY, I TANKED UP THE NEXT DAY AND AVERAGED 41.2MPG AIN"T THAT SOMETHING.

    Definitely great in gas. 41 mpg is not too bad.

    It had to be that burst of 95, because if you had stayed with a reasonable 75 to 80, I am sure you could have averaged 45. Don't forget to pump the tires up to 42 psi front, 40 psi rear.

    I too appreciate fine machinery, and the HSD is truely unique with its single speed power split device and the computer portioning power between the wheels and the generator to give you a seemless CVT experience.
