Lit Motors C-1: Electric Motorcycle That Won't Fall Over

    The trouble with motorcycles, as anyone who has ever suffered road rash will tell you, is that falling off is actually rather painful.
    You have to try much harder to fall off a car[​IMG], but those aren't without issues either--they're rather heavy, and that makes them relatively inefficient.
    The Lit Motors C-1 seems to fix both those issues in one vehicle, combining the comfort and topple-resistance of a car, with the excitement andefficiency[​IMG] of a motorcycle.

    Great concept but, the price is waaaaayyyyyyyyy toooooooo high. I will be very suprised if we ever see this come to production.

    maybe we can get congress to subsidize it with taxpayer dollars to lessen the intern congestion inside the DC beltway, or as I like to call it, Versailles :)

    Wow! That is one cool bike. Anyone could drive it and low speed tips would be all but a thing of the past. The price is not high at all if you have been to an H-D, Victory, Honda.... shop. The range is great. How about a soft top version for the real two wheel experience.

    Stop comparing it with a bike, and the pricing will make a lot more sense. This is a commuter vehicle, designed for people who drive to work, all by themselves. If successful, it can have a significant impact on our country (less dependence on oil, which is great for security and environment), especially with many areas in the country getting their energy from nuclear, hydro, etc.

    I'll be reserving one soon myself, very excited about it!

    At least wait until the price drops through economies of scale. The first thousand are supposed to go for $24K, first real production run $16K.

    I don't want to wait that long :p With up to 200 mile range, AWD, airbags, fast, and all the good stuff, it is going to be my midlife crisis vehicle.

    Not sure yet how I am going to pay for it, but will figure it out.

    Hmmm.... willing to sell my garage queen s2000 for this if it comes true.

    Those good conditioned s2000 are hard to find, and value is going up now. That is how much I would like one. :D

    Things like this is why I keep my motorcycle license. If it gets down to 16k then I will be in the market.
