    Lyrics

    VERSE
Let me warn you right now
    You're in for a war
    There's someone a waitin'
    To take your parkin' spot
    She's hell on wheels
    She's the new big deal
    She's America's true sweetheart

    Oh, she's a...

    CHORUS
    90 pound suburban housewife
    Drivin' in her SUV
    Talkin' on her cell phone
    Oblivious to you and me
Kids in the back seat watchin' the
    little T.V.
    She's a 90 pound suburban housewife
    driving in her SUV.

    VERSE
    There I was a-drivin' down U.S. High-
    way One
    In my little Corolla
    Enjoyin' the noon day sun
    Then all of a sudden
    I heard her engine roar
With rhino bars scarin' little cars
    Goin' to the grocery stores.

    Oh, she's a...

    CHORUS

    VERSE
    She may be your neighbor
    She may be your wife
She may be your mother for the
    rest of your life
But one thing's for certain, I think
    you'll all agree
With tons of steel and 4 big wheels
She'll be drivin' like an S.O.B.

    Oh, she's a...

    CHORUS

Ha - that's pretty good. I noticed awhile back that it seemed all the big white SUVs were driven by small women, but I thought maybe it was just coincidence.

Small men too. A short guy at work just got a new Avalanche. I have no respect for him.

Ever notice that big guys also end up in small cars? you know, like the mini (original), or some other subcompact car like the suzuki swift (not the new swift+), Pontiac Firefly etc.

I went to the hardware store yesterday. A woman (who was petite) parks behind me in a big GMC Yukon and leaves the engine running while she goes in to pick up something (and it was small- not something requiring a big SUV to transport)- she was there at least 10 minutes. I suppose I should have said something (I would have, if I was more "pious".)

    Awesome post!

It's very true in my area. I see countless huge SUVs every day w/only the driver or minimal passengers such as a Ford Expedition today at a mall w/a mom and a small child. It gets a whopping EPA 14/19 or 14/17 and weighs 5352 or 5607 lbs. depending on whether it's RWD or 4WD.

I saw the same thing at Target. When I parked my car I could hear a car running. It was the Ford Explorer right in front of me. I thought...boy is that stupid. I went to the Lawn and Garden area and spent a good 15-20 minutes in there and when I took my stuff back to the car the Exploder was still running. I saw the couple finally come out. The car had to be idling for a good 30 minutes. I really wanted to ask the people why they were doing something so stupid but you never know who's carrying a gun these days!

I have a real shrimpy neighbor who is often drunk as soon as he gets off work (general contractor). He is a tiny man and besides his monster work trucks he also has a Hummer in the yard. Drives it around with his tiny dog in his lap........
