The most obvious change is screen resolution, but there are also subtle changes , like fewer color options in 2006+ models. It's a different beast.

The main problem is that their was a back door discovered in the 04 and 05 Prius that allowed disabling the Navigation system. Word got out and Toyota decided that they did not want people using the Navigation System Diagnostic Screens, including the override function. The Bluetooth is a different function that requires interrupting the signal that tells the Nav System the wheels are turning. That can still be done with a simple switch on the 06 and >. The Bluetooth Lockpick is a small circuit board that provides these functions. It detects the I agree screen and pushes the button for you by sending the message to the NAV ECU that the right area of the screen has been touched. A touch to the destination screen send all the signals necessary to the NAV ECU to open the back door and override the Nav. Problem is if you do not know how to get into the back door it will not work. It also detects that you pushed the phone button and disables the signal to the Nav that the wheels are turning allowing to have access to the Bluetooth functions.
