I'm thinking about taking my C on a road trip from Atlanta to Syracuse. My question is how well do you think the C will do on almost a 2,000 mile round trip? I'm talking about as far as wear and tear goes. I know the warranty will cover any issues I might have, but long term would that be a problem?

I think it would do fine but you need to talk to Fred. He took his from Nashville to Daytona I think and posted a thread about it. It was about a month or so back.

I wouldn't hesitate at all. In fact, in the near future I will be taking a 2000 mile round trip in my C as well.

I just took a trip from PA to Atlanta and back. Lots of mountains and lots of rain on the way back. Averaging 65+ MPH, I got 48.7 MPG down and bit better on the way back. No problems whatsoever

I'm anticipating a trip from Raleigh, NC to Little Rock, Arkansas in about 10 days. I'll let y'all know... But since it's a Toyota (under warranty...HA!!) I'm not anticipating any problems.

Other than being a bit gutless on hills, the Prius C makes a fine trip car in my opinion. I am 6-1 and 265 lbs, and my wife and I just made a 580 mile road trip to the Oregon coast. We found the seats and overall seating position to be quite comfortable, and the ride was smooth and reasonably quiet. No, it isnt a BMW or a Lexus, but if you want 50MPG there are going to be tradeoffs. I wouldnt hesitate to take this car across the country, just set your cruise control to about 70 and enjoy the ride.

I don't really consider it gutless on hills. I do all of my driving in the mountains of British Columbia. My previous car was a 2009 Versa with the same CVT tranny. It was just as noisy going up the mountains. I just came back from a 1250 km return trip most of which on the Crows Nest Highway. It never really strained that much.
