Wow! So what happened when that came on? Were you able to keep driving?

I don't know why I'm so surprised, I don't even know what that means!

I puzzled over the OP's posted pic, then went away. Taking another kick at the can: yes what the heck does it mean?

That error was most likely caused by your ELM327 Bluetooth module upsetting the can bus , remove it and restart your Prius and you should be fine.
You may want to try a different ELM327 adapter.
Or you may want to keep it in if you dislike ABS :)

Sorry, my new job prevents me from being able to the check the forums during the week. It appears it had something to do with leaving my OBDII bluetooth adaptor plugged in. I unplugged it, shut the car off, turned it back on and it went away. As for what it did to the car... While those lights were on, the vehicle ran fine, but would not recharge under braking, and the braking was HORRIBLE! So I'm assuming it did something with the KERS system. But, all is well now. I just don't leave the adaptor plugged in.

Owners of other cars with the CAN bus have had similar (or other wierd) problems.
Best to NOT leave the scan tool plugged in all the time.

Yeah, I recommend NOT leaving ELM327 devices plugged in. Just plug it in when you need it and unplug it afterwards. I don't know if it can really cause such errors when it's not being used, but I guess anything is possible, esp. with Chinese devices.

But yeah, the error means that the communication between the ABS module and something else was interrupted. And since this communication is critical for the ABS system, it just gives up and turns itself off (and from your description, it sounds like this also turn off regenerative braking).

Just out of curiosity, were you doing anything with Carista when it happened?
