Yep, it won't be long and the MX will no longer be on the house. Any links?

    Thanks,

Believe it or not, try Amazon. Their prices seem to beat my local Auto Zone, DAP, etc.

O'reilly auto parts has Wix cabin air filter # 24483 for 2011 Prius; $ 14.99 as of June 3, 2013. I think this also fits a 2012 base Prius?

are the Gen Toyota ones that expensive where you are ?, don't forget the Gen ones are waterproof and therefore washable, obviously make sure they are dry before refitting

Yuk! I just looked up that Wix on Amazon, as I need a new set of filters within the next week. The Wix appears to be the worst made of all of them. If the picture is what you'd get, stay away from that one. Have the real OEM one in front of you first if you're going to compare filters.

Denso was the OEM in my 2010. Another quick look at Amazon shows Denso's also, but the picture of it has about 1/8th the number of folds and surface area as OEM. The Mahle looks (in the picture, at least) like the real deal.

I just looked up NAPA for the GENIII engine air filter. The picture looks like the OEM. Pro Select is $16.69 and the Pro Gold is 22.99. But both of those look like the same picture is used. I might go there tomorrow and see what they bring up to the counter.

OEM has 36 folds in it.....Wix # 24483 cabin filter has 39 folds in it.
You must have been looking at O'reillys brand Microgard at the same price; and it does have about 1/2 of the folds, as OEM. And I have compared?..... And I did not look at pictures?

Here's my OEM pictured below. 96 pleats. That's what I'm looking for in a replacement filter.

Yea! They got me confused to! At any of those prices. Just buy a good named brand filter! Don't go cheap on a $25,000 Prius, Cabin or Engine Filter. Go with the best! Your Prius will be happy. Just like me. :D

Are genuine Toyota filters just too pricey to consider? I think not.

Look, you guys are missing the point.

    The Guy said CHEAP.

    He wants CHEAP....

He is not asking about quality this or that.

CHEAP. That is all.... At least that's the title, not sure what he said in the post....???

Cheap is blowing out the old filter with your neighbor's air compressor and reusing that sucker until it has holes in it.
Then some borrowed duct tape from the other neighbor to patch those holes.
Eventually you wrap it in an old pillow case you found.

    That's my recommendation!!

    Can anyone beat that?

Heck, Bill, you've got me thinking now. I bought a 70-pleat NAPA Gold filter just today for $22.99. I might just return it and go the air-gun and duct tape route. If it works for my shop-vac filter, then why not my car?

Well, DA, your in the running for Cheap!!!

    Can anyone top that?

Remember, use someone else's electricity and air compressor to qualify.

Oh, yes, and I'll add, without their knowledge or permission too. I found a mostly used roll of duct tape in the garbage behind work, so I'll use that too. If the old air filter is too dirty to save, I might fashion my own air filter out of folded, used coffee basket filters. I'm not stupid though, I'll first wash off the old coffee grounds in my neighbors above ground pool. Their pool filter should take care of the floating grounds so I won't feel guilty about that either.

    Are we off-tiopic yet?
