Am on the hunt for a gen2 prius, found two cars not sure which one to get

First one is a 2004 with 143000mi, body in decent shape, private seller he say that the hv battery is in spec he ask 3000$ tax in

Second one is a 2007, prestine body, unknown hv battery healt, it's a used car dealer he ask 4600+tx might be able to negociate a bit.

What are the cons and pros of both model? Should I run from the 2004 as it's the first year? Any major differences.

    Regards

How many miles on the 2007?

I would take the one you like and have it checked out by a Toyota dealer.

What does battery in spec mean from a seller? Before you spend any money read the hundreds of posts about dead hybrid battery on this forum. The second someone starts to have hybrid issues on there G2 they usually trade it in or sell it. Beware.

i would get a price on a new toyota battery, deduct that from the value of the '04, and make an offer.
