    I had a set of the Michelin Defenders from Discount Tire, 90k mile tires, they wore out at 60k miles. I went to Discount Tire to have them replaced and pointed out the difference in the warranty miles and actual use. They gave me $158 for the difference in the warranty and the used miles. I bought a set of Continental ControlContact Tour AS 195/65/15, also 90K tires. If these wear out early, I'll be back for another partial refund on purchase price. The Continentals were $336 out the door with the refund on the Michelins. I declined the TPM rebuild kits, but I didn't catch the $64 charge for lifetime rotate and balance that they stuck me with. There's a restaurant across the street that I like to visit and since the tire shop is 65 miles from home, it's a good excuse to make it there when I need a balance and rotation.:)
