They have them at Amazon but I don't know for sure which model fits the Prius.

    Amazon.com: fram sure drain - Amazon.com: Automotive

I noticed that Fram does not mention them on their website; maybe they are being phased out/ discontinued?

I have one on my Ford Explorer and it works well, but some people question whether they allow the pan to drain fully.

Another product which seems to be more popular is the Fumoto valve. I have used the Fumoto on our Toyota truck and it worked well also.

I've had the Fumoto valve on one of my past cars and installed one on my prius during my 1st oil change. Two thumbs up for Fumoto valve!

I really like that Fumoto F-103 better than the Fram version. Anyone expierence any leaks with the Fumoto?

Would it be OK for me to get the nipple on it so that I can attach a hose?

Where can I find the best price on the net?

I had the version with the nipple on the Toyota truck. It is very slick because you can put the hose directly into the recycle container to drain.

The truck had more ground clearance than the Prius so that wasn't a concern. It might be a concern on the Prius depending upon where you drive.

I would not reccomend the one with a nipple.

I bought one and it sticks out about 1/2 inch and would be suceptable to breakage if you hit anything.

I called the Fumoto folks and exchanged mine.

I have had mine since early 2004 and really like it. No leaks either.

Sadly Fram has done away with this product!

I have one on my Civic and find it's a great addition not to mention a small time saver. Stick the hose into a container, drain, disconnect, new filter, fill with oil, done! No problems with it in the 3-4? years I've been using it.

They can be found on E-bay:
Sure Drain, Parts Accessories, eBay Motors items on eBay.com=
Make sure you get the right size!

Fumoto drain valve is a great substitute for the Sure Drain. I've worked on large diesel trucks that have had them installed, where your dealing with 10 or better quarts of oil. You can use black plumbing (brass works too) fittings to make any kind of extension you may need or attach a hose if you'd like.
If you're not the type to run over curbs, parking blocks, and other great things like this, you shouldn't run into any clearance problems.
