Looking for used 2001 Prius alloy rims in the 12590 zip code. Every year I have snows mounted on my car and it is getting to be expensive ($80 twice a year).

I think it is time to mount my set of 4 snows so that I can changed them at will.

Anyone selling used 2001 prius rims?

I wonder if other Toyota Model Vehicles, might have rims that fit the Prius? You might find some steel rims you could put the snow tires on and use hubcaps to dress them up a bit. This way if they get damaged somehow, it wouldn't be an alloy rim. Do you have a salvage yard near you, that might have several models of Toyota's you could look at and measure the lug pattern?

Thanks for the info. The 2001 uses 14 inch 5.5 bolt 4x100 rims. I should be able to find those a lot easier than looking for used prius rims, since the '01s are as rare as Anatase

Check with dealerships: I was able to get snows on Corolla 15" black steel rim (p/n: 42611-02471) for our 2010. New cost me $70 Canadian per, take-off might also be available. I was also sold simple open-ended lug nuts, the type used for steel rims with covers. You can likely use your alloy rim nuts, but they look a little odd, and with the extra nuts not that expensive it saves the alloy nuts from salt exposure.

I'd imagine that since the 01/02 Prius is based off the Echo, why not look for some echo rims?

Don't forget the JJ in "14 x 5.5JJ". Pretty sure it means something, even if I'm not sure exactly what. :)

(I did know, once when I was researching my tire thread a while back, and I think it's a particular standardized shape of the rim profile.)

I have one slightly flattened alloy rim if you want it. ;)

This is what I used in my 2001 prius for these 10 winters and I have no problem for that.

Thanks for the reply. I will give them a try. Not looking for anything fancy. Even a steel rim will work for the winters.

Used is even better. Guess i'll make a trip to my local Auto Grave Yard and see if I can pickup a set.

Make sure you ask for the 14 inch since back then 13 inch is standard and 14 inch is option for ECHO.

Sorry to resurrect old thread but I have a set of rims I would sell

Also is it appropriate to offer things up for sale in Prius chat?

I've bought used wheels & tires, readily & cheaply from Craigslist....even got free tires. Two of my cars are traveling on used wheels & tires, & I love them!

According to my local junkyard. Using interchange info ©2016 by Audatex North America, Inc. My Gen 1 2003 Prius can interchange rims with..

    Tercel, 93-96 (spare with ABS)
    Paseo, 93-99 (spare with ABS)
    and of course
    Prius, 01-03 (spare)

The non Prius cars don't match style wise. But the rims will fit. Same bolt pattern (4 lug, 100mm) and tire size (R14). I pulled a Paseo rim/tire for my car, cause I bent my original rim. Paseo rim is stamped "14x5.5JJ" right under the hubcap. 5 spokes instead of 8 though. So now I roll around with 1 mismatched wheel. Can't beat the junkyard's price. $41 for an alloy rim and nearly new tire. Still had mold hairs on the tire.

Now, how do I get rid of my old bent rim and damaged sidewall flat tire?
