Los Angeles DIY HV Battery rebuild/replacement help

I'm currently trying to help a fella that's been through an unsuccessful battery rebuild and is out of money to further diagnose and fix his car. The person that "bandaid" the battery repair most likely just replaced the bad modules (or possibly didn't replace anything). I haven't done a battery rebuild myself so I don't want to make his situation any worse.

Are there any Los Angeles area battery rebuilders that care to lend a helping hand?
