I've had my Prius for 3 weeks now and love it - 05 Driftwood pkg 6, got it in Tifton, GA with no wait at MSRP. Somehow I lost my key fob yesterday. I did search for this topic but didn't find anyone who has lost one. Surely I'm not the only one? If anyone has had to replace one can you tell me how much will this cost?

Costs a bunch. Something like $200 for the SKS fob and another $50-100 for programming. But get one, if you lose the second one it's over $1000 to replace your SKS ECU and get new fobs.

If it's the SKS, about $300. The key is about 250, and programing it to fit your car is about 45. It is programed from your current FOB, so don't lose that one.

If you lose the FOB that you have, it will require the replacement of one of the computers, nearly $1000.

Here is a cute story about losing a key FOB.
