Lower ventilation does not work...

    I noticed this days that my vent system does not blow air in the lower ducts...
    when i switch the mode from console to lower vent mode, I hear the noise from an actuator ( I think) but the air does not come...
    I suspect this wheel is not moving to change ways of air coming...
    Does anybody knows how to check if this system is working?

    Had a similar problem with a 2011 prius I had. the mechanical part of reculation did not work. the light was green on ac control but would still smell outside. Had to go in between the AC filter housing and blower motor area and fix the lever that opens and close. Dont know how but it was bent. Once I aligned it into its groove it worked, no more smell from the outside and AC was colder of course. I would image there are more of those metal levers through out the ac duct system

    It would be very helpful if I knew how exactly you got access to that lever...
    I started to remove components, I already took out the upper instrument panel, and today I will take out the lower instrument panel...
    I work with this, no other instructions I could find...

    Its at the blue marking where it the air duct opening from the outside it lifts up and down with a lever, cant remember if the lever is plastic or metal

    Techstream says nothing...
    The actuator works fine, I can hear it... but the toothed white wheels are not moving...
    I found this video that is close to what I need... unfortunately does not say how to get there...

    I managed to disassemble the lower frame...
    Now I have full access to the wheels I needed...
