Luggage Compartment Dimensions

We have put down a deposit at our local dealer to be on the waiting list for a new Prius. The dealer never seems to have one on the lot, so the only ones we've aver looked closely at are the ones we spy in parking lots.
The commonly published specifications for the Prius say that it has 16.1 cubic feet of luggage space. Like I say, we've never actually been inside of a real Prius, but when we look at one from the outside, the luggage space behind the rear seat seems to be less than our 2002 Accord (which is supposed to only have 14.1 cubic feet of storage in the trunk).
Can somebody post the actual dimensions of the luggage compartment?
