Get in the car (don't start yet).
Press and hold the ODO button.
Start the car (might work just going into IG ON mode, but I can't remember) while still holding the ODO button.
Watch the Odometer readout on the dash...it'll flash and turn to zeros or something, then return to the actual Odometer read out...once it does that the Maint. req. is reset. It will start to flash on briefly 4500 miles later then come on and stay on at 5000 miles.

With car on, ensure the 'odo' is showing up there in the speedo display. This means the total miles driven is showing, NOT trip A or B. Power car off. While holding the 'odo' button in, press the start button like you normally do to 'start' (boot-up?) the car. Foot can be on or off the brake, I think... Anyway, the odo display will zero out, then fill back in with the right numbers, and the maint. light is reset to off until the next 5,000 miles.

    Enjoy your awesome car!

I think you misunderstood the question. My total mileage is 4520 now (I had the 5000 done at 4480). Now that it is at 4500 plus it is flashing....and I think it will stay on at 5000 ( I do not want to look at it from 5000 to 10000). How do they turn it off after the service?
I will try holding the ODO down and see if it resets but....I have my doubts because it will not be resetting the total miles just the miles on trip A or B...
    thanks for the help
