Making an S10 ER-EV

    i have always toyed with the idea of getting an Chevy S10-EV and doing the mods i want to it (which would be, lowered suspension, shaved door handles, painted interior,ect) then after all that stuff is done, figure out a way to make it into a ER-EV

    the GM factory S10-EV uses a small diesel engine for heat, and the AC system to cool the batteries, the factory EV ran about 40 miles on a charge

    it is FWD

    idea was to take a small generator and mount it in the bed, and using a couple 12v battery chargers to charge it after the batteries run down to a certain level (would have to experiment on the drain and recharge rates, and then plug in overnight to fully recharge if needed

    it sounds like a longshot, but its just an idea
