    Okay
I need good suggestions on what to check and do on my
    07 Gen 2 Prius odo 109450 miles
My dashboard lights have the red triangle master hybrid /vsc and brake all on and I can still drive the
    vehicle.
I have been rechecking my repair work however after replacing the following parts
    12v battery
    inverter pump
    coolant
    traction battery
I am unsure how to troubleshoot my issue. I am hoping patrick or some of the more knowledge able
    pc members can help

History on the car? You have many major parts replaced at low mileage

As previously suggested, retrieve the DTC logged by the skid control ECU. Mini VCI is the best tool for that purpose.

Or, you can continue to replace parts without knowing what the DTC is. That is not a very good problem solving approach.

I replaced the 12volt battery because of failure and had it tested as well and did not pass test. The 12v battery failed from parasitic load. My MFD had shown low HV batttery condition and never went blue color again just pink. I have a scangauge 2 which has shown no confirmed DTC at this time. I made a mistake in replacing the inverter pump when not really need to do so . I am going to try another scan tool. I am also going to recheck hv battery connection and related things when I swap the toyota oem replacement. I do need a VCI setup but my mechanic at 80 dollar diag is also a option

The inverter pump should have been replaced by the dealer under a recall.

Where did the get the hv battery from?

    When did the problems start?

What was the last thing you did?

    SM-N900P ?

    Update

I had seven obd codes read by a bosch scan tool at oreilly today

    C1242 open circuit

    C1378 capacitor com malfunction

    UG073 model control buss off

U0123 lost comm with yaw rate sensor
    U0124 lateral accel

    U0126 steering angle sensor

    U0293 Hybrid vehicl control module

my scan gauge 2 has a issue sorry about that. The 123 and 124 codes relate to the VSC which is sometimes problematic on Gen 2

The VSC and Brake dash lights are sporadic and random these come and go when the vehicle has been parked.

I am going to remove the BCU aka battery control unit next to the contact in the HV maybe something overlooked there.

Cheap scan tools don't read ABS skid control codes. It's mini VCI or a garage. The codes you read might be ancillary to the real codes. A bad wheel sensor can light everything you have.

    True that

    HOWEVER
BOSCH OBD $300 Dollars scan tool does not seem "cheap"

Aaa, that site I just posted may only be for the Gen 1's, be advised. You might want to check out a subscription to Toyota Techstream, your local library for a Bently or Clymers, Hanyes repair manual or pick one of them up yourself as other options.

    Absolutely.

Also - when was the last time that the car operated correctly, and what happened to it causing its current set of problems? In general, it appears the OP's car has a communications problem between the various ECUs.

I assume that car was in a significant accident - what part of the car was damaged, and was the vehicle wiring harness in that area carefully inspected for damage?

Get Mini VCI so that you can be sure that you have the full list of correct codes - instead of relying upon a list of codes that were retrieved by a generic code reader easily confused by the many ECUs present in Prius. Your car has serious problems and you are wasting your time by relying on codes produced by code readers not intended for use with the Toyota hybrid system.

The scan gauge will not work properly on a Prius without it being updated to to an X Gauge by sending it in and they'll update it for $25.
Most of your codes thrown are freq seen by the 12 volt B+ line dipping very low and all the ecu's then complain.
Although new confirm the 12 volt battery is at least 12.4 volts.

Buy a mini vci. or a Dxdiag module off amazon.com. That's your only hope. The vsc and brake are probably legit codes. Which tells me like Pat said the car was probably blasted and now has frame/chassis damage.
